What made you choose Unleashed Boudoir for your boudoir experience?

My best friend Kayla had booked a session with you and asked if I would be interested. After showing me your work, I knew I had to try it at least one time. Who knew I would be back within the year with my husband!

(Note - those couples images are FIRE!)

What was your favorite part of your session?

My favorite part of both sessions were feeling 100% confident in myself after hair and makeup.

Were you nervous about your session?

I was not confident wearing lingerie in front of anyone but my husband, and I had no idea how to pose but Krista walked me through the poses prior. Laughing through the nervousness always helps.

What are you taking away from your boudoir experience?

I am absolutely in love with every photo! I am more confident in myself daily because of the awesome experience!

Would you recommend a boudoir session to your friends?

What do you say to people who say they can't do this because they are too shy, nervous, etc.?

I was nervous too, but Krista makes everything carefree and enjoyable. Time flies by and before you know it, you have beautiful artwork of yourself to show and keep.

What made you choose Unleashed Boudoir for your boudoir experience?

I was asked if I wanted to do a model call for Unleashed for some new outfits she had and wanted to shoot. I was very excited.

What was your favorite part of your session?

I do not have just 1 favorite part. From the moment you walk into the studio you feel at ease and welcome. Getting a gorgeous makeover with hair included was an added bonus. I felt so beautiful.

Were you nervous about your session?

Anytime you do a shoot like boudoir I think most of us are nervous or more self conscious. Krista does a great job at capturing our beauty there is nothing to be nervous about.

What are you taking away from your boudoir experience?

I have done 2 of these sessions now and I take away that the photos do not even look like me. I love how she captures our more vulnerable and sensual side in these photos. The first time I saw my photos I was in awe that that was me in those photos. It is such a great feeling to see yourself and realize how other people see you and how truly beautiful we all are!

Would you recommend a boudoir session to your friends?

I would and do recommend boudoir sessions to everyone.

What do you say to people who say they can't do this because they are too shy, nervous, etc.?

There is no need to be shy, nervous or insecure. Krista is amazing, the studio is private and inviting. Have fun with it. The more fun you have the better the photos turn out!

The Fabulous Rori!

(Pssttt there’s some nudity below. So if you’re at work, or you work for Facebook, don’t scroll down!)

Rori is another of my outstanding 2018 Brand Ambassadors and she wrote this blog post just for all of you, so enjoy!

Sexy is not something I generally “do”. I’m not much for satin and lace...or so I thought!

Modesty isn’t really my issue. As a swim instructor and pole sport competitor/coach, I’ve gotten used to spending the bulk of my days in bathing suits and skimpy sports bras.

Lingerie and glamour, on the other hand, intimidated me. So when I finally decided to take the plunge and schedule a boudoir shoot with one of Arizona’s top #boudoirphotographers I was excited to push out of my comfort zone.

ROri 1.jpg

The day of my shoot, I arrived early to the studio to meet Krista and her hair and make up-artist. The pampering treatment made me feel a like a princess, while I relaxed and enjoyed a glass of wine (yay for wine in the morning—a rare delicacy for a mom!) Since I didn’t have any fancy lingerie of my own, Krista styled me in some hand selected pieces from her extensive  collection. She was thorough in posing and guiding me, and her relaxed and happy vibe made me feel like I was hanging with an old bff. To my surprise I felt really comfortable and at ease, (except for the back arching—even for a seasoned power athlete like myself, arching and angling yourself into camera- flattering positions was not so comfortable lol. Touché Tyra Banks, you were right, modeling really ain’t easy). Not too long after my session wrapped up, I received a sneak peak photo from my session.

The photo was so beautiful I couldn’t believe my eyes! Krista has a gift for helping her clients unleash their inhibitions. Her ability to coax out your inner-vixen and capture it oh-so-perfectly is unparalleled. A boudoir session with her is an experience of a lifetime. Do it!

I Never Thought I Could - Picking Out Your Boudoir Session Outfits

Trying to figure out what to wear at your boudoir session? We've got a few tips to help you out:

 1. Wear what makes you feel sexy. Boudoir sessions are all about bringing your sexy side, so if you put something on and you feel uncomfortable, move on to the next option. Consider it sort of like searching for the perfect wedding dress. When you put it on and can't help but spin in front of the mirror or think, "Heck yes, I'm sexy!" then that is the piece you should wear on shoot day.

 2. Consider what he likes, too. Maybe he loves you in the color red, or he still talks about that little number you wore a couple years ago. If he's into sports or a certain hobby, play into that, as well.

 3. Opt for lingerie that flatters your favorite parts. If you've got an impressive rack (yes, we're going there), then choose something that really shows of that feature. Maybe you're a fan of your own derriere and want to show him the goods, too. Choose a piece that accentuates whatever features you love most about yourself.

 4. Footwear matters, too. It's so easy to go into a less-than-classy vibe depending on your footwear. Our suggestion: keep it simple.  Instead, opt for shoes that scream "sexy sophistication." FYI: Heels can also do a lady good when it comes to posture and accentuating muscles in her legs.

Ms A Unleashed - Tucson Boudoir

I met Ms A through a mutual friend (at a Pure Romance party!) and I was so excited when she decided to book a session with me!

She is 25 and is an aspiring Project Manager.  We had a lot of fun during her session which was mostly a gift for her but a little bit of her boyfriend.  Since she tells me he's the man of her dreams I'm fully expecting her to be back to shoot a grooms gift in the near future.

In her words...

I am really intrigued with how beautiful and free everyone looks in these photos. I want to see the sexy side of myself (I’m not usually the forward/controlling type).

Sam Q - A Brand Ambassador Goodbye!

Because I'm often suffering from writing blocks, writing blogs is a huge chore for me and as a result, I missed out on sharing this babe's images with you.  Sam signed up to be on of my 2018 Brand Ambassadors but took a job out of state and moved at the beginning of June.  While she's still repping me over in Texas, she can't quite fulfill all her duties here in Tucson.

Why do you think you'd be an awesome Brand Ambassador?

I was always very passionate about women empowerment in college and I'm active on social media. I believe in the message you convey and want to take away any negative stigma associated with boudoir to show people how beautiful it is.

Tell me a bit about yourself.

I'm a pretty social person. I like going dancing and hanging out with my friends either at game nights or downtown. I'm just now learning and expanding my knowledge about being sexy and learning to love myself so I want to share that.

I actually met Sam through work (my day job) and we hit it off early on.  She even took me dancing at the now-defunct Denim & Diamonds.  Granted I'm not much of a two-stepper, she's pretty damn good and I imagine she'll be enjoying the Texas nightlife soon.

Boudoir Inspiration!

We’ve been photographing A LOT of BRIDES preparing for some amazing GROOM’s GIFTS the past few months. This month’s boudoir outfit inspiration is taken from those “something blue” pieces we’ve seen so much of. Each of these looks is perfect for any blushing bride that is looking to do something less traditional. Also, a great look for those celebrating anniversaries; a bridal touch and a super sexy flair!

Soft Whisper Hues

Don't be afraid to go light!  Especially on dark skin tones, lighter shades of blue can look phenomenal.  On light skin, the lighter colors can even add a little pop and give you a springish, sea-inspired look.

Ms. C

I always joke with my brides that giving their fiance an album (or app!) the day of their wedding will ensure the fastest ceremony in history.  Ms. C celebrated her upcoming wedding with a beautiful session and a great groom's gift.

Tears are a Sign of a Job Well Done

In some ways I think Kim's husband wanted her session as much as she did.  This isn't a bad thing for sure, I love when husbands are on board and want to see their women happy.

Kim was one of the first clients with whom I started incorporating emotional poses into each session.  This was definitely a new experience for both of us, but she went along with it and had a great sense of humor.

As long as a location permits it, getting a client outside is high on my list of session to-dos.  It doesn't need to be the middle of the desert but just using the outside of the house or the patio area can help push comfort zones.

When I met Kim again for her reveal I started off with her slideshow.  When I walked back in the room I swear I saw a bit of moisture in the corner of her eyes.  She couldn't believe that was her in some of the images.  One of the best signs that I did my job is when a client gets teary.
