We've Expanded our FAQs!

Do I provide my own wardrobe?

I do prefer that clients bring their own wardrobe options. Use this time to try something new! Don’t forget about sweaters, tanks, even something from his favorite sports team.

If you decide you have nothing to wear, hit the shops! More important than the size on the tag (which I’m going to cut out anyway), make sure your lingerie FITS.

If you’re like…I have no clue. I do have a client wardrobe you can borrow from with sizes XS-6X. (I have a teeny tiny shopping problem so I’m sure we can find something amazing!).

Do you have a stylist or do I do my own hair and makeup?

We have a trained, licensed, professional stylist on staff. She’s freaking amazing and is in charge of your bombshell transformation.

Please keep in mind, particularly if you aren’t normally a big makeup wearer, makeup for photography is heavier than usual so it may feel like a LOT. And if you’ve never worn false lashes…well that’s a whole new feeling!

I have a lighter or darker complexion, should I bring my own?

My stylist is experienced in all skin tones and can custom blend the perfect color for you. If it would make you feel more comfortable, bring it, but it is unlikely we’ll need it.

I don’t know how to pose.

Good news! Most of my clients do not walk in the door and go, bam! Perfect pose. That’s why you’ve got me. That’s why you hired me right? You loved my work - well all that work you love - I posed those women. I’ll demonstrate, talk you through all those poses. If I need to, I’ll just move you.

Oh lawd. My period showed up.

It happens. In most cases, this isn’t a big deal. If you’re a person who ends up spending their week in bed because the cramps are too bad or taking 3 steps results in needing to change your tampon, let me know.

What should I do to prepare?

Take care of yourself. Lots of water. Lots.

Schedule a wax the week of your session if you’re a waxer. Shave the night before if you shave. If you’re rocking it long, well…rock on.

Mani/pedi a day or two before. (If you’re me, the morning of and you’ll still chip it).

Try everything on, lay it out, pack the night before. Don’t stress the day of.

What about scars, stretch marks, cellulite, all that good body stuff?

All of your images are edited to remove that the stuff that isn’t permanent (blemishes, bruises, scars, etc). We won’t make you plastic and we won’t give you a Kardashian butt. Sorry.

Sometimes, some of your concerns can be managed with wardrobe or even posing.

We do photoshop, but we won’t accidentally put a random hand on your shoulder.

Can I bring a friend?

Ehhh…..my studio is really intimate so having more people in there isn’t the best plan. If you really need a bestie there, they can stay for hair & makeup and then I’m kicking them out. There’s a little coffee place a block over they can hang at while we shoot.

Better plan! Have them book a session and then we’ll knock both of you out in one day.

Do I own the copyright to the images?

It’s really difficult to transfer the actual legal rights to the images. However, when you purchase or receive digital files, you will receive a print release. This means you can reproduce images as you like for PERSONAL use. As the photographer, I own the copyright.

In all my years of business, I have never sold the use of my client’s images and have no plans to start. If that was something I wish to do, that would be a separate agreement between myself and the client.

How many pictures are included in the session?

My pricing is structured so that the retainer covers just your professional hair & makeup and the studio time. I separate the purchases so that you purchase the images that you really want.

About 1-2 weeks after your session, you’ll come back for your Ordering Appointment. We’ll start with a short video of some of your images and then we’ll go through your images and talk products and pricing.

Our pricing starts at $699.00 for albums and $999.00 for digital collections.

I know I’m going to love too many. Payment plans?

Yes! We have 2 options for payment plans.

  1. Square Installments: this lets you split your payment over 3, 6, 9 month options. Your payments are made to Square. You and I are squared up (see what I did there? 😁 ) and your products can be ordered. (This is my preferred option for those on a deadline that need a plan)

  2. In-house: These generally start with $250 or 20% down and then we divide the remainder up over 6 months. We can do a longer plan for our higher collections. We’ll have you fill out a payment plan agreement and we keep your card on file and just charge it on our agreed-upon schedule. Once you’re paid off, your products get ordered. (This is for those who don’t have a deadline)
