How revealing will my boudoir session be?

How revealing will my boudoir session be?

If you’re considering a boudoir photo session, you might be asking yourself, “How revealing will it really be?”

We’ve had everyone from - ‘nope, keep my clothes on’ to ‘I’m happier in my birthday suit’ - and everything in between.

It's totally understandable to feel apprehensive about taking the plunge and showing off your body in all its glory. After all, we live in a culture that sometimes works to make us feel anything but empowered when it comes to our sensuality. But guess what – no matter how much or how little of yourself you choose to reveal during your boudoir session, this experience should always aim to make you feel good about yourself.

There’s no right or wrong way to do boudoir — ultimately you decide exactly where to draw the line with exposure so that it reflects who YOU are as an individual. One of the first things we do the morning of your session is fill out our ‘Consent Form’. This document basically gives me guidelines for what we are planning for that day. It’s where you get to tell me if we’re keeping this to 🌶 or going to 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶.

This is the time to go, hey I want to be pushed out of my comfort zone a bit but not too far. Or maybe anything and everything is fair game. Or - being here is already a huge step forward - let’s keep it more soft & pretty. The great news is that we can do everything in that gamut - and if you went for 🌶 or 🌶🌶 the first time - you can always come back again to amp it up more.

This is also one of the reasons we enjoy our wardrobe styling appointments - because we get to meet you ahead of time and get to know a bit of your story and what kind of vibe you’re after for your session. That way we can tailor your outfit selection as well as where we are going to shoot your session in the studio to fit. If you want baddie bitch in leather and whips & chains - our Garden set may not be the most ideal fit.
