Sexy is not something I generally “do”. I’m not much for satin and lace...or so I thought! 

Modesty isn’t really my issue. As a swim instructor and pole sport competitor/coach, I’ve gotten used to spending the bulk of my days in bathing suits and skimpy sports bras. 

Lingerie and glamour, on the other hand, intimidated me. So when I finally decided to take the plunge and schedule a boudoir shoot with one of Arizona’s top #boudoirphotographers I was excited to push out of my comfort zone. 

The day of my shoot, I arrived early to the studio to meet Krista and her hair and make up-artist. The pampering treatment made me feel a like a princess, while I relaxed and enjoyed a glass of wine (yay for wine in the morning—a rare delicacy for a mom!) Since I didn’t have any fancy lingerie of my own, Krista styled me in some hand selected pieces from her extensive  collection. She was thorough in posing and guiding me, and her relaxed and happy vibe made me feel like I was hanging with an old bff. To my surprise I felt really comfortable and at ease, (except for the back arching—even for a seasoned power athlete like myself, arching and angling yourself into camera- flattering positions was not so comfortable lol. Touché Tyra Banks, you were right, modeling really ain’t easy). Not too long after my session wrapped up, I received a sneak peak photo from my session. 

The photo was so beautiful I couldn’t believe my eyes! Krista has a gift for helping her clients unleash their inhibitions. Her ability to coax out your inner-vixen and capture it oh-so-perfectly is unparalleled. A boudoir session with her is an experience of a lifetime. Do it!
