Hello Vegas! An overdue tale of WPPI
So I'm only 3 months behind? writing a post about my trip to Vegas. Better late than never I guess!
So at the end of Feb/beginning of March I had the privilege of attending the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Conference and Expo in Las Vegas. Because what could possibly be better than a week, in Vegas, with like 10,000 of your closest photography friends. In fairness I went solo but came home with a ton of new friends and new ideas.
The first few days I attended some amazing speakers and met a ton of new people and some wonderful boudoir photographers.
I also participated in a Glamour Master class from the awesome Nino Batista. More on that in another post (someday....soon, I promise!)
One of the highlights was a Photo Walk with Jen Rozenbaum. She is a photographer out of the NYC area that I have looked up to in the past few years. She's a big proponent of the #shamelesslyfeminine movement. We had the ability to shoot with two models. Unfortunately we were a bit relegated to one of the expo rooms so we did what we could. Near the end of the time we moved out to the staircase going down to the conference center. Truthfully those are some of my favorite images from the night.
Lastly, probably one of the best parts of the week was the Expo! So many amazing new products and I'm excited to be bringing some of them to you in the future.
One of my first additions will be a new album for those choosing more than 40 images (pretty much you love them all!). It's the same lay flat (no seam) thick pages as my other albums but with a chic aluminum cover accent with sumptuous leathers. These albums will come a complementary box.
I also got the latest scoop on new materials from my current lab so now there are more choices than ever. Plus, can anyone say acrylic prints? Not just as part of an album collection but available as wall art pieces and prints for your nightstand. Those will be introduced later this summer most likely. Stay tuned!
